How do I book / What is availability?
Unfortunately this yacht cruising activity is not available to book online.  Please email us with your preferred dates and times and number of people, and we'll let you know availability.  Bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment.

What type of yacht is it?
The charter yacht is a new 43ft Bavaria, with twin wheels, furling mainsail and modern facilities and equipment.

Do I need sailing licence or certificate to charter the yacht?
No, this is not a bare boat charter.  There is a fully qualified and experienced skipper on board at all times.  You can get involved in the sailing under the skippers careful supervision or just sit back and enjoy the cruise.

Where will we sail to on the cruise?
It depends on the wind and tide,but don't worry, you will always return to Brighton Marina.  You will be cruising along the coastline of the UK's newest National Park towards Eastbourne to the east, or take in the sights of Brighton seafront towards Shoreham to the west.

Is there any instruction on board?
This is not a training yacht or activity, but the skipper will let you join in with the sailing as much as practicable.  There is a safety briefing and instruction in the use of life jackets before heading out to sea.

What is the sailing activity for me, there seems to be so many?
Its true, we do many water based activities from power boating to yacht racing... this activity is described in many ways-  Luxury yacht cruises, Brighton boat trips, boat cruises, Sailing trips, sailing tours, sailing holidays, sailing charters, sailing adventure trips, luxury sailing cruises, corporate yacht sailing, stag sailing activity, hen sailing event, family boat trips, family yacht cruises.  ...but don’t worry, it usually means to same thing.

Is there a fee for hiring the lifejackets and sailing gear?
No, it is all included free.

Are there any other hidden costs?
If you book over the phone, a 2% credit card charge (not debit card) will apply.  Transport from the hotel to the marina is included in the price.

Can we have champagne and canapes on the yacht?
This can be arranged as an extra and consumed at the skippers discretion (depending on conditions on the day), otherwise you can enjoy this treat on board within the relative calm of the marina.  Remember, Brighton Marina is one of the biggest marinas in Europe with many cafe's and restaurants so plenty of opportunity to party or dine romantically after your sailing trip.

Can I charter the yacht exclusively for myself and my group?
Buying all 8 spaces on the yacht, will in effect charter the yacht exclusively for yourself and your group, ensuring no-one else can book spaces.  Whether it's for a romantic day cruise for two, a corporate incentive for your team or a family cruise, you will be guaranteed to have the yacht to yourself.  The cost for half a day would therefore be £1320.
