Catchment area: Try a Yacht Racing Sailing Taster, serving London, Brighton and the counties of Sussex, Kent and Surrey in the South East of the UK. About 45mins from Eastbourne's sovereign harbour and 20 minutes from Newhaven harbour and Lewes to the East. About an hour from Croydon and Crawley and 40 minutes from Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport to the North. About 45 minutes from Worthing, an hour from Littlehampton and 35 minutes from Shoreham Harbour yacht club.
Location: Pontoon 19, West Jetty, Brighton Marina
Parking: Free, in the multi storey car park in the Marina
Candidates: Beginners and novices
This activity is a great introduction to sailing and is a 'taster' to the RYA National Sailing Scheme course "Start Racing".
Coached by our professional instructors, you will go from complete novice, to fully participating in a genuine yacht race taster. This is a rare opportunity to participate in this safe, healthy & environmentally friendly sport. All equipment & training is provided at our RYA approved sailing centre in Brighton's modern Marina. This is not just sailing, this is hands on yacht racing, competing with your crew against other novices & the elements!
