Gift Vouchers – General: Each SailnetUK Gift Voucher and confirmation will show an activity or price, a reference and a date, all of which must be quoted when dealing with SailnetUK and will be used to identify your payment. Vouchers and the associated references must be kept safely and securely. SailnetUK will take no responsibility for any loss you may incur as a result of theft, impersonation or identity fraud. The voucher is invalid if it is tampered with. Any voucher can be exchanged once only before the expiry date and only if a booking has not been made. Vouchers are void if sold for cash or auctioned on the internet or elsewhere. Expiration dates cannot be modified or extended. Only one voucher can be used per person, per course or activity. Vouchers are not redeemable against books, clothing, products, or anything other than courses & activities. Vouchers cannot be used alongside other offers or promotions.

Gift Vouchers – Flexibility: Vouchers can be used to book any course/activity unless otherwise stated on the website. If your chosen course/activity is higher in price than the value of your original voucher, you will be required to pay the price difference. If your chosen experience is lower in price, the difference will be held as credit to use against any future purchase. This credit can be used until the end of the calendar year following the original year of voucher purchase and is non-refundable. If you are issued with new references and security codes, please quote these in future dealings with us. A new gift voucher will only be issued to you if specifically requested. SailnetUK reserves the right to make additional charges for the costs of issuing a new voucher. Gift Vouchers are designed to allow the recipient to choose from a selection of SailnetUK courses/activities. Although the selection detailed is correct at the time of printing, it may change from time to time. The voucher expiry date will be printed on the voucher and will usually be at least twelve months from date of purchase. You must book your participation date with SailnetUK, either by email or by phone, before the expiry date, at which point the voucher will cease to be valid. The participation date can be any available date up to six months after the expiry date. It will cost £15 to extend the expiry date for another 6 months which can only be dome on one occasion. Once an activity is booked, normal booking terms and conditions apply (see below).

Gift Vouchers – Refunds: We are happy to make refunds on unbooked Gift Vouchers bought direct from SailnetUK within 14 days of purchase. Where dates have already been booked, normal cancellation & rescheduling terms and conditions apply (see below). A re-booking can be made without extra charge if cancellation is due to the illness, injury or death of the participant or a close relative, if the participant is summoned to witness attendance in court, or for HM Forces duties less than 21 days prior to the date of their course/activity taking place. Claims must be made in advance, and we will require official countersigned evidence supporting the nature of the claim. It will be presumed that customers who do not show up on the participation date without prior notification wish to cancel their activity and normal cancellation terms and conditions apply.

Cancellations by Centre: Sometimes we have to cancel an experience for reasons beyond our control, such as the severe weather, mechanical breakdown or staff illness. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and do everything we can to offer an alternative date or time. If an alternative date is not acceptable, a gift voucher to the value of the activity will be offered, valid for twelve months from the cancellation date. If this is not possible, an alternative course/activity will be offered on the date of the original booking, in the vicinity of the Marina, depending on availability. Any difference in cost of the alternative course/activity will be reimbursed. In the event of a partial curtailment of a course/activity by SailnetUK, partial reimbursement is offered, as outlined above.
We regret that, in these circumstances, SailnetUK is unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expenses you may incur in relation to the cancelled experience.

Restrictions: Certain courses/activities are subject to minimum or maximum requirements specified on our website; e.g. age, health, or weight. We will confirm with you at the time of booking if any restrictions apply to the participant. Once booked, you may be liable for charges if you cancel because the minimum requirements are not met.

Experience Description: The information provided by SailnetUK in our leaflet/brochure is correct at the time of print. However, the content or format of course/activity may change slightly during the year. Current details of each course/activity are available on our website or by calling the office and are included as part of your booking confirmation. Your participation is conditional on your acceptance of the experience description detailed in your booking confirmation. Please check these details carefully upon receipt.

Start Times and Session Lengths: Start times need to be strictly adhered to by participants and we cannot be liable for any late arrivals. Late arrival without prior notification may mean that a participant cannot participate in a course/activity and no refund will be offered. The schedule of each course/activity is variable depending on the time required to cover various tasks such as briefings, boat prep and procedures. We give itineraries as a guide only and the running order of a course/activity may change.

The Weather: Some courses/activities are dependent on the weather and we will advise you if you need to call to check the weather before setting out. The most recent information on dates when a course/activity is available may be found on our website or by calling our office on 01273 628648. We will do our best to secure your preferred choice of dates. To help us, please book as early as possible, preferably at least 28 days in advance or further for peak dates such as weekends or holiday periods. Where no dates are currently available for a course/activity, you can either select an alternative or ask to be added to a priority waiting list so that we can notify you once new dates are released. Bookings are not confirmed until you receive confirmation in writing from us. For some courses/activities we may ask you to return the any vouchers to us before we can confirm your booking. You should not make any arrangements in connection with the course/activity until you have received your booking confirmation. Where specific elements of the course/activity such as specific boats are not available due to mechanical breakdown, we reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions on the day. If this is not possible we reserve the right to cancel the experience at short notice.

Special Offers: We sometimes have late availability for course/activity at special prices, and bookings for these can generally be made right up until the day before the course/activity date. For these bookings, we will provide essential details over the phone, as we cannot guarantee that these details will arrive by post in time for your course/activity. Courses/activities bought under these conditions cannot be refunded or exchanged. Dates for a course/activity bought under these conditions, once booked, cannot be changed.

Discounts for BMBHA members, Neilson staff, SailnetUK staff, and other partner organizations, are based on the full price of the course/activity booked directly with SailnetUK. They cannot be used in conjunction with agency bookings, Tesco tokens, commission based bookings or group discounts unless otherwise agreed in advance.

We recommend guests take out their own personal insurance to cover the risk of accident, personnel liability, loss or damage to accompanied personal effects.

Inclusion: We welcome the participation of disabled people in our courses/activities, though we recognize that certain courses/activities may present difficulties for those with disabilities. We are committed to ensuring that disabled customers are given every opportunity to participate, so we ask that you tell us about any relevant disability at the time of enquiring. This enables us to do our best to meet the participant’s particular needs. We will be happy to provide information about the disabled facilities available at our venues on request.

Complaints: We welcome your feedback on all of our courses/activities. If you have a problem or complaint on the day, please bring it to the attention of the senior instructor or office manager as soon as possible, so that they have a chance to put matters right. If your problem is not resolved on the day, please contact the office, including as much detail as possible. The matter will be taken up by the principal. In general, we consider it unreasonable if you take no action during courses/activities, but then make a complaint at a later date.
