This can be taken as a 5 day intensive course, or over 3 weekends. Held at Neilson's fabulous Brighton Marina HQ, in comfortable classrooms with great facilities including the fabulous 'Hotspot Cafe'! You will be taught by experienced, friendly tutors who will take you through the course with professionalism & understanding.
Building on
Day Skipper Theory, this course is essential for those on route to Yachtmaster, or commercial skippering. You will gain a sound knowledge of compass, tides, tidal streams, buoyage, pilotage, GPS, sea safety, navigation in restricted visibility & unfamiliar ports, passage planning & much more. A basic knowledge of 'rules of the road', lights, shapes & meterology will be assumed. There are 3 assessment papers, based on navigation & generic knowledge of the subject. There will be nothing on the paper that you won't have covered during the course.
